Getting To and From the Airport

Situated 10 miles south of Manchester city centre we are well served by train, bus and coach services with good road links for those travelling by car.

We are ideally situated halfway between London and Edinburgh, 80 miles from Birmingham and 60 miles from Leeds. For those who are using Public Transport our dedicated transport interchange - The Station - is open 24 hours and links trains, coaches and buses into one building. This state of the art facility is connected to all terminals by Skylink moving walkways, lifts and escalators. The Station provides a variety of services for passengers including comfortable waiting areas, terminal and flight information, currency exchange and retail and catering outlets.

Baby Changing Facilities
These are located in all three terminals close to or inside the ladies toilets.

Feeding Children
This is made as easy as possible within the airport, as all restaurants and cafes provide high chairs and most offer food suitable for children.

The Playcare Centre
This dedicated area offers a chance for young children to play or watch TV in a special children's area. Located in the departure lounge in Terminal 1 and open 24 hours a day. Children need to be supervised by parents at all times.

Art Desks
Located at most eating areas, these enable children to colour in and play.

Conference and Banqueting Facilities
At Manchester Airport we can cater for up to 400 people at our dedicated conference and banqueting facilities. A comprehensive range of audio-visual equipment is available, including overhead projection system, PA system, centralised control consoles, telephone, fax, Prestel etc.

Meeting/Training Rooms
The Ringway Suite in Terminal 2 offers a large range of rooms to cater for anything from a small syndicate activity or group meeting, to a large training event accommodating up to 30 delegates. All training rooms are equipped with; whiteboard and dry wipe marker pens, flipchart and marker pens, video player and monitor, overhead projector and display screen for use with projector.
